Darshan RupareliaDirector, ACAS Actuaries (SL) Limited
Darshan is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Tanzania with over 10 years of experience in advising public and private sector employee benefits’ schemes in the UK and in Eastern Africa. Darshan advises both trustees and sponsors of employee benefits’ schemes in the areas of scheme funding, investment strategy, accounting valuation, risk benefits, cash flow modelling and projections, actuarial factors and member communications. Darshan was also involved in advising the Local Government Pension Schemes in England & Wales on pension scheme changes. The work included costing various options of benefit changes and contribution changes as well as reviewing the regulations for the changes from an actuarial perspective.
Darshan advises both life and general (re)insurance companies in the areas of pricing, reserving, quarterly and annual liability valuations, reinsurance arrangements, asset-liability modelling and preparation of Financial Condition Reports. Darshan is part of the Disciplinary Pool of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).
He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (IFoA); a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya (ASK); a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Tanzania (AST); a Fellow of the Nigerian Actuarial Society (NAS).
